Prue's art primarily concentrates on exploring the human form using broad strokes of colour or loosely suggested charcoal or graphite under or over acrylic. This translation of energy, used when drawing immediately in paint, is focal to her paintings whether in life drawing or in the interpretation of abstract painting.
