Prue Pye is inclined to see a landscape in blocks of colour rather than specific detail, and uses colour to interpret the memory. "I think of myself as one of many contemporary artists who work within the landscape genre, but faced with a beautiful view, I'm more likely to turn and find a less obvious detail."
